Hello BHS Chorus Families!
Whether in person or online, we have been safely singing this semester! Our next concert is coming up, and I would like to share a few details with you. LGPE Plans LGPE, or Large Group Performance Evaluation, will be handled a little differently this year. Instead of traveling on a bus and performing, we’ll be recording our performance at Brookwood, and submitting a video to our LGPE judges for feedback. This is the only option offered by GMEA (Georgia Music Educators Association) in our district. This same recording will also be used for broadcast to our regular audience. We will record our LGPE Concert in the Brookwood Theatre. Students will be spaced out in the seating area, and only half of the chorus will be present at a time. No live audience members will be present. Similar to the previous concert, I need to know who plans to perform in person for their test/concert grade, and who plans on submitting individual performances digitally. Students should submit their concert intentions here no later than Wednesday, February 17. Both digital and in-person students may participate, as your music is the same regardless of in-person or digital instruction. For the rehearsal & concert, all students will be screened and have their temperature taken. Social distancing and masks will be required, even during filming/performing . March 4: 4th & 5th Period Chorus ONLY March 9: 2nd & 3rd Period Chorus ONLY On your concert day, in person students should report to the theatre by 2:20pm. Digital students should be in place by 2:40pm. We will spread out in the theatre. We will finish by 3:45pm for 2nd/3rd Period, and by 4pm for 4th & 5th Period classes. Uniform: 2020-2021 Chorus t-shirt, non-ripped jeans, and tennis shoes/sneakers (same situation as last time). Need a shirt? Please pay chorus dues on mypaymentsplus.com ($25) by Wednesday, February 17. Parents – Interested in volunteering to help? Sign up through the same survey. Spring Plans I am working on giving our students an outdoor performance opportunity for the spring, where we can have a socially distant, safe, outdoor live audience! Please stay tuned. Musically, Mr. Still Comments are closed.
