BHS Chorus News 5/15

Dear Brookwood Chorus families,

Thank you again for a wonderful year!  In preparation for next school year, I’m excited to announce that we have a few available positions on the Brookwood Performing Arts Boosters (BPAB) Executive Board.  BPAB assists our chorus through volunteers and financial support, which allows me to focus on music making with our students.

While these times are uncertain, this fact holds true:  We will continue to offer a high quality choral program for our students, regardless of what happens in the future.  What we do will not change, but how we do things may usher in new creative ways to make music and create community.  Even so, I look forward to the time that we can sing together, and pray that it will be very soon.  Your support and assistance during this time and in the future will be crucial to our success.  If you can help, please send me an email at [email protected].

During the summer, information on how to join BPAB for the 2020-2021 school year will be posted on the main Brookwood and chorus websites. 

Quick housekeeping instructions:  Any chorus students who have their chorus folder need to return it to school on May 18 or 19.  Instructions are posted on eClass.  In addition, the chorus final exam window opened May 15, 6:30am, and closes May 16 at 7am on eClass.  The exam can only help your grade, so take advantage of it!

In the meantime, I hope you’ve had the opportunity to view our Virtual Spring Chorus Show & Awards Ceremony.  Don’t forget to follow us on facebook for more videos, and tune in to virtual graduation next Thursday to watch a couple of special performances by our chorus seniors!

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with your chorus students this year!  Thank you for your support during my first year at Brookwood.  Personally, it has been a huge delight.  Even my own personal children have come to love Brookwood, and they have loved interacting with the “big kids” at our concerts, events and after school rehearsals!  See you all next year, and congratulations seniors!!!!!
