Happy New Year, BHS Chorus families!

As we continue in second semester, here are a few items to be aware of:
 
Updated Chorus Syllabus
Passed out in class during the first week of second semester, the updated syllabus includes concert dates for this semester.  It also includes the rehearsal dates for our spring show, which will be more involved than previous after school rehearsals.  Click here to access the syllabus.

LGPE Field Trip
Plans are shaping our for our LGPE field trip.  This year, four separate BHS Chorus ensembles will perform at Large Group Performance Evaluation, or LGPE.  LGPE is sponsored by the Georgia Music Educators Association, and is held at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville.

March 3 – Mixed Chorus & Cantabile perform (4th & 7th period classes) in the afternoon.
March 5 – Women’s Chorus (2nd & 3rd period chorus classes) perform in the morning.
March 5 – Men’s Chorus (7th Period) perform in the afternoon.

Departure & return times, exact performance times, permission forms, and more details will be released soon.  There will also be opportunities for parent volunteers to chaperone!

All-State Chorus
Congratulations to the following chorus students who successfully passed their second auditions last night and are now officially members of the GMEA All-State Chorus 2020!

Luis (Gabe) Arguello - 9th grade Baritone; Senior Men's Chorus  **Perfect score
Dylan Bazzell - 11th grade Tenor; 11/12 Mixed Chorus
T'Naisha Cox - 11th grade Soprano; Senior Women's Chorus  **Perfect score
Alan Le - 10th grade Bass; 9/10 Mixed Chorus
Jenny Qiu - 10th grade Alto; Senior Women's Chorus
Lillie Sims - 10th grade Soprano; 9/10 Mixed Chorus  **Perfect score

Pre-LGPE Concert
February 25, 7pm – BHS LPAT (Theatre)
February 24 – 4th & 7th Periods rehearse after school from 2:30-3:15pm
