Brookwood Chorus Families,
 
Tuesday, August 23 is the deadline to purchase chorus uniforms for this year!  Please make sure to place your order before 11:59pm Tuesday. 
The chorus program does not keep uniform items for students to purchase during the year, as it would be impractical to stock multiple sizing options.  Your student’s uniform will not arrive in time for the concert if you attempt to purchase late.

***All gentlemen in 5th period chorus should purchase option 2 (white tux shirt, pants, vest, tie).  Students in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th period chorus classes should select option 1 (black dress) or option 3 (black tux/pants, cummerbund & bow tie).

Not sure what size to order?  Each item that comes in multiple sizes has a measurement chart as part of the images/photo album for that item.  You can enter your student’s measurements into the optional box at checkout, and the uniform company will double check the sizing for you.
 
Chorus Tailgate
All Brookwood High School Chorus students are invited to our annual free tailgate before the first home football game!

When:  Friday, August 26, 2022
Time:  6-7pm
Where:  Maroon Gym Lobby steps (by the car rider lane / outside the theatre entrance)
After the tailgate, students should go home or walk to the football game.  Tickets are purchased separately, and are available on GoFan.
 
We will have catered Curry & Jerk Chicken, mac & cheese, empanadas and more!  Parents, if you are interested in helping out for the hour, please sign up at our sign up genius link.

A few quick updates:

1.  Chorus dues can now be paid online!  Please click here to pay and for more details.  Deadline:  August 31, 2022.
2.  Parents - please consider becoming a member of our booster association - BPAB.  Click here for details, tax deductible information, and how to give via company matching.  
3.  Uniforms can now be ordered!  The deadline to order uniforms has been moved to August 23, 2022.  Read all the details here.

Brookwood Chorus Students and Families,
 
It has been such a delight to see our new Chorus Broncos, and I was extremely excited to see everyone back in person yesterday!  We continue a normal rehearsal and concert schedule this school year, and I am looking forward to all that we will do together this year.

A few notes: 

• All chorus students are required to pay the $30 Chorus Dues.  Chorus dues payment can be made here.  Deadline:  August 31, 2022.  This is a one time annual payment.  Chorus dues cover sheet music, accompanist fees, LGPE fees, and this year’s Brookwood Chorus T-shirt.  Dues are held in the chorus account by the Brookwood Performing Arts Booster Association.  Your shirt will not be released unless you have turned in your dues. Please note that it is not the intention of the director to deny any student entry into chorus because of an inability to meet this financial requirement. A family who is unable to make the required payment by the deadline must address this with the director in confidence. 

 

• Would you like to sponsor another student's dues?  Please write "sponsor" in the name field.  Thank you!

 

• The Brookwood Performing Arts Booster Association (BPAB) assists the chorus through volunteers and financial support. encourages everyone to become a member and provide additional support to the choral program.  BPAB is an invaluable resource of parent volunteers that assists the chorus program.  When you pay chorus student dues, you are able to become a member of BPAB.  Please contact Mr. Still or [email protected] with questions.  Does your company do a corporate match for non-profits?  Please reach out to us, and we can help you get set up!  You can also donate dues for other students.  Learn more about BPAB:  bpaperforms.com  The donation link will be made available here.

 

• Chorus formal uniform purchase details will be released later next week (week of August 8).  You can check out the uniforms and what students will need here.  All uniforms will be purchased via our supplier's online store, which will be specific for Brookwood Chorus.  I am in need of a parent to help with measurements - please email me if you are able to assist with in-class measuring.  

 

• The syllabus is available here and on eClass.   Students are required to submit acknowledgement of the syllabus via Google Classroom - link to Google Classroom is posted on eClass.

   

• Concert dates are listed in the syllabus.  Please make note of them and add to your person calendars.  You can also access our digital calendar here!

 

• Auditions for District Honor Chorus, All-State, and Honors Chorale will begin soon.  If your student is interested, they should sign up for an afterschool audition next week..  Dates & details for GMEA ensembles are available here.
