Holiday Chorus Concert – Reminders/Update

How to watch
The concert video will be posted on the Chorus eClass by Friday, December 11, after we are able to edit the raw video.  You will need your student’s eClass credentials to access the video.

Rehearsal & Concert Plans:
 
Dec. 7 - Rehearsal after school - meet at 2:25pm in the commons.  Digital learners should report between 2:25pm-2:40pm.  This counts as a test/summative grade.  Concert attire is not required for the rehearsal.  Students who do not perform in-person should check eClass starting Monday afternoon for the digital version of our concert rehearsal / performance.

Masks and social distancing are required and are non-negotiable.

All students rehearsing / performing in-person for the concert need to return the COVID waiver form, which is posted on the chorus eClass page, and was distributed to students in class this past week.  Extra copies will be available at check-in.
 
Based on our rehearsal schedule, these are our estimated rehearsal end times for Monday & Tuesday.  Students should be picked up outside the marron gym lobby (near car rider pick-up).
 
2nd Period Chorus dismissed at 3:40pm.
3rd Period Chorus dismissed at 3:50pm.
5th Period Chorus dismissed at 4pm.
4th Period Chorus dismissed at 4:15pm.
Chorale dismissed at 4:30pm.
 
Dec. 8 - Concert recording after school - meet at 2:25pm in the commons.  Digital learners should report between 2:25pm-2:40pm.  This counts as the performance final.  Concert uniform required.

For the rehearsal & concert, all students will be screened and have their temperature taken.  Social distancing and masks will be required the entire time, even during filming/performing.  We will utilize the commons to allow for spacing.
   
Uniform:  2020-2021 Brookwood Chorus t-shirt, non-ripped jeans, and tennis shoes/sneakers.  Shirts that have not been picked up yet will be available at the rehearsal for pick-up.  It is too late to order additional shirts at this time.  If you did not order the shirt in time, wear a solid Maroon color shirt.  I have expressed the uniform requirements multiple times during class and am willing to work with students.
 
Grades
 
Is your student missing a recent assignment?  Please check the parent portal for missing grades, and submit ASAP.  The last day to turn in late work for chorus is December 11.  Late work will not be updated in the gradebook until after we complete the concert.
