BHS Chorus News - Thanksgiving Break Edition

Greetings!

I hope everyone is looking forward to a restful Thanksgiving break.  I have many things to be thankful for - including the wonderful student musicians that we have in the Brookwood Choral Department!

A few notes:

Holiday Concert:  December 10, 2019
Our fall concert is coming soon - December 10, at 7pm in the BHS Commons.  Students will need to report in full concert uniform for warm-up at 5:50pm.  Joining us on the concert will be the 8th Grade Chorus members from Crews and Five Forks Middle School!  This concert is required for all chorus members, and is a test grade.

Required dress rehearsal will be after school in the chorus room on December 9, from 2:30 to 4pm.  Pick up will be in the car rider area like our previous dress rehearsal.  This vital rehearsal counts as a test grade.

Dress Rehearsal is December 9, from 2:30-4pm in the chorus room.
You must be in position with your attendance taken by 2:25pm.  Remember, this counts as a summative/test grade.

Release times (approximate):
2nd Period:  releases by 3:15pm
3rd Period:  releases by 3:25pm*
4th Period:  releases by 3:40pm*
7th Period:  releases by 3:50pm*
*Chorale members will need to stay for rehearsal until 4pm.


Chorus Family Feast
Do you enjoy food?  Of course you do!  Chorus members & their family are welcome to be a part of our "Chorus Family Feast."

Date:  Friday, December 6
Time:  6:00-7:30pm
Location:  BHS Maroon Gym Lobby (near the theatre)

You're welcome to bring more than what's listed for your class :)

December 3 - Visit to Crews Middle School Chorus
December 13 - Visit to Five Forks Middle School Chorus
Same transportation details as our previously scheduled trips; trip dates changed due to happenings at the middle school.

All-State Cut-Off Scores
Once cut-off scores are released from the state, I will post them on eClass during Thanksgiving break.  I am proud of all of our students who prepared for this rigorous audition!
