BHS Chorus - LGPE Details

Greetings Chorus families - 

LGPE season is upon us!  Please click here to view the LGPE info packet given out in class on Friday, 2/7/2020.

A few notes:
- Chaperones are needed.  Please make sure to return the info form with your student if you can help out!
- Students who need new uniform components should return all necessary information and their check by Monday, February 10.
- All permission forms are due by Thursday, February 13.

Pre-LGPE Concert Dates
February 24, 2020 – After school rehearsal/test grade

• 4th & 7th Periods Only
• 2:30-3:15pm, Chorus Room

 
February 25, 2020 – Theatre / Test Grade

• 5:30pm:  4th Period Call Time
• 6pm:  2nd & 3rd Period Call Time
• 6:10pm:  7th Period Call Time
• 6:40pm:  Theatre opens for seating

7pm:  Concert begins                                                                                                                                    

​LGPE Trip Information
The BHS chorus will be going to First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville on March 3 and/or 5 to sing in the Georgia Music Educators Association Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). This event is sponsored by the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA).  Parents are welcome to attend our performance.  All Chorus students have prepared since August to sing in this performance and I would like for all students to participate. Performance in this event is a required test grade. In addition, students must achieve satisfactory sight-reading & repertoire progress to be permitted to participate.  Behavior contrary to successful choral rehearsal and/or performance will result in removal from the trip at the director’s discretion. 
 
4th & 7th Period Chorus – March 3
On March 3, 2020, BHS Mixed Chorus (4th & 7th periods) and BHS Cantabile (4th Period) perform at LGPE.  Meet in the chorus room at 1:50pm.  You will then have a few minutes to change.  We depart for LGPE at 2:30pm.  Mixed Chorus performs at 3:40pm, and Cantabile/4th period performs at 4:50pm.  We will return to school around 5:55pm.
 
2nd & 3rd Period Chorus – March 5
On March 5, 2020, BHS Women’s Chorus (2nd & 3rd periods) will perform at LGPE.  Meet in the chorus room, dressed in concert attire, at 7:20am for warm-up.  We depart for LGPE promptly at 8am, and perform at 9:10am.  We will return around 10:30am.
 
7th Period Chorus – March 5
On March 5, 2020, BHS Men’s Chorus (7th period) will perform at LGPE.  Meet in the chorus room, dressed in concert attire, at 1pm for warm-up.  We depart for LGPE promptly at 1:30pm, and perform at 3:40pm.  We will return around 4:45pm.
